Growing up or Growing Old?

I was watching this interview of The Beatles and something that made me feel a little bit weird, was to hear them say their ages “21, 22, 21, 22″ and think “Fuck, and I’m 24 now”. I guess for the first time in my life I’m feeling I’m growing up too fast. Why would I feel that way because of a band and a video from 1963? Well, because 4 years ago, my friends and I (which have same age difference between John, Paul and George) started calling ourselves The Beatlettes because of that, I was John, my friend Paola was Paul and my friend Anahi was George. At that time I was 20, as old as John was at their Hamburg days, and I seriously can’t believe my Hamburg days are over, I mean… sooner or later I’ll be older than them you know? Like, now… I’m older than Hamburg’s John if that makes any sense, one day I’ll be older tha 29 and that was John’s age when The Batles broke up and I’ll feel like a pedo for liking my early twenty boys. I think I’m freaking out *LOL*

Another thought crossing my mind right now, is that I’m 24, the same age James Dean was when he died, next year I’ll be older than he ever was, and that’s freaking frustrating. I don’t know, I think I was only used to them being always older than me, which is stupid but those things makes me realize that I’ll soon be OLD.

I’ve been thinking about these silly things since my birthday, a friend even told me I’m just going through my first “age crisis” you know? pff I don’t want to think what kind of crisis I’ll get when I hit the thirties, haha. I prolly just think too much about these things and I shouldn’t, I know I’m not old and I shouldn’t be thinking about getting old now, but meh… I just can’t help it.

Phoenix took a dare, and now he and Mike are sending each other messages through twitter and Mike’s blog on what’s better, a blog or twitter haha it’s really funny. Mike even made a banner for people to support his theory.

And I kind of agree with Mike (plus, he’s using Phi’s incredibly girly twitter’s background) but Twitter is addictive too and fun and quite personal ’cause you can answer questions and stuff (a thing he doesn’t do so often on his blog, right?). And I seriously can’t choose, if any one of them was Chester, I’d totally be on his team *LOL* but I love the other guys equally, so I can’t choose, so thank goodness LP Construction made this banner:

Today is Matthew Perry’s 40th birthday. Awww you have NO idea how much I adore this man. I’ve been a fan of Friends for like FOREVER, I remember being just a kid in front of the TV on the beach waiting for a new episode and crying with the last one. Chandler was/is and will always be my favorite friend.

And I like Matthew, not just as Chandler, I’ve seen a couple of his movies and only saw 17 Again for him and I’ll keep following his career because he’s AMAZING. My niece think I’m weird because I liked the older version of Zac Efron on a movie and was literally squealing for him like she was for Zac *lol*. I don’t know, Matthew has a super special place in my heart, so I hope he spends his birthday with his loved ones and have lots and lots of fun. Aghhh I simply adore this man and there are NO words to explain how much or why I do. He rocks!. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTHEW!!!

Happy Birthday, Robert & Edward

Today is Robert Redford’s 73th birthday. It hasn’t been long since I started liking Robert Redford, it was like a year ago when I saw for the first time The Sting along with Paul Newman, I really liked that movie and ever since then I pay more attention when I’m looking for movies to watch, now I want to see more of his movies. I’ve already seen The Way We Were, Indecent Proposal, and An Unfinished Life, I don’t remember seeing any other… oh and Spy Game with Brad Pitt. And that’s it. I really want to see The Great Gatsby (I’ve already read the book).

Edward_Norton - 1 - Down_in_the_Valley

Today is also Edward Norton’s 40th birthday. I on the other hand love Edward since I saw him in the movies with “Keeping The Faith” in 2000, he was just too cute, and ever since then I knew who Edward Norton was, and he’s seriously one of my favorite actors… he’s an incredible actor. I haven’t had the chance to see all of his movies but the ones I’ve seen are great and I loved them (plus, he’s also easy on the eyes hahaha).

Young Hollywood: A to Zac

Today I was watching E! True Hollywood Story “Young Hollywood: A To Zac” and it just made me feel old hehe. And I saw myself texting my cousin so she could let my niece know it was on the telly because she’s a crazy little fan of the Jonas Brothers, or a Jonatica as she likes to be called. My cousins and other grown ups doesn’t understand my niece’s love for this boys, I don’t like them but I do understand my niece, I think I’ve let clear that I was/am a Backstreet Boys fan, and seeing my niece all crazy for the JBros makes me remember all the crazy silly things I did for the BBoys HAHA.

And something funny, is that my niece sees them like MEN you know? guys she could NEVER date because they’re too old for her, and I’m like “What? they’re babies” hahaha. But yeah, my niece is 12 and two Jonas’ are already on their twenties, which is funny ’cause my niece think that means they’re grown ups HAH!. And then, I go back and remember I NEVER saw the BSB as boys you know? I always saw them like young men, too old for me like my niece sees the JB.

I mean, just LOOK at this picture, I think they were younger than the JBros now (at least Nick and AJ haha). And I always saw AJ like really grown up because of his facial hair and tattoos, and he’s only 7 years older than me, which it isn’t THAT much. And I remember people mocking me (and they still do) because I liked a boy band, like people mocks my niece telling her the JBros aren’t talented and stuff, it’s just funny how everything is so similar 10 years after.

I don’t know, it’s funny to see how time is actually flying, my boys are MEN now and there are little kids becoming little girls’ boys now. I just hope the JBros give my niece as many sweet memories as the Backstreet Boys gave me.

But I just realized something, when the Backstreet Boys were at their peak, there were other bajillion of boy bands like O-Town, 98º, and *N sync (of course) the JBros has no competition, so it’s not a surprise so many girls like them, they have no other choice. And there’s Miley Cyrus, it reminds me of Britney Spears’ and Christina Aguilera’s days, I mean… it’s just funny to see how there’s gonna always be a teen idol for everyone. In my younger days, Leonardo Di Caprio was the pretty blue eyed guy on the screen, now it is Zac Efron. I think it is a never ending story, isn’t it?

Need Help!

Here’s the thing, my brother has a TV show about video games, and thanks to that he has press access on concerts and other things. Well, since Enrique Bunbury is coming to my city in a couple of months, I asked him to do whatever he could to get me press access to the concert, so A) it could be free B) Backstage access. SHIT!!! I’d totally crap my pants if that happens, even though I don’t want to dream that high xD.

Anyway, my brother told me to start a blog about music (in Spanish) and that could get me the press thing. I can start it right away, making blogs is my thing, talking about music is my thing and writing duh is my thing too haha and it’s going to be on my own language so that’s going to be easier…. BUT, I have one tiny problem. I don’t know how to name my blog…. specially ’cause there’s gonna be people actually judging it *lol*

Any ideas?. Anything related to music works… please, I’m blank so even if you think it’s a stupid idea for me it’s going to be BRILLIANT…. HEEELP!

Special Men

When I started writing this, I thought making it a post, but it ended up being a whole new section on the site, so go and read the special men section. I will post some bits of the text, but not everything because it’s quite long.

BRIAN LITTRELL

How can I forget about those long nights listening to their albums with the lights off, dreaming about meeting them and all that corny stuff you want when you’re a teen? Also, my friends (that liked them too) and I would do a lot of things, take pictures, record videos, sing their songs, borrow magazines to each other and have endless talks about them. I felt I knew them even if I had never met them, it was an amazing feeling. I saw Brian grow, he was just a kid when I started liking him, and now I can say he was pretty young when he got married, then I saw him having a kid, and now I can see him being the wonderful father that he is. CHESTER BENNINGTON

Chester got divorced around May of 2005, that’s exactly the time this guy and I started going in separate ways, we officially ended everything in September of that same year. And then Chester wrote Let Down from obviously, his own experience. I felt devastated the first time I listened to it, it was like we were feeling the exact same thing at the same time, and how could I find solace from someone that was as fucked up as I was?. [more]

JOHN LENNON

John made me feel I wasn’t a freak, nor that there wasn’t anyone that thought the same way as I do. But I have to be honest, since I started being his fan… I don’t see people the same way, 70% of the people I know are plain idiots that I only tolerate, almost anybody stimulates my mind the way I’d want to and it frustrates me that I can’t have someone as complex as I am physically near, because even though I can swim in John’s quotes, lyrics and music I can’t have a conversation with him or someone like him and that’s sad. And there’s also the fact, that every time I get into a ‘Lennon Mood’ I get pretty bitter and pessimistic, it’s like I see the world like a big BLAH. [More]

PAUL McCARTNEY

Back to what I was saying, when I’m not bitter or pessimistic, I run to Paul and his happy love music and his ‘silly love songs’. I go and hide all the bad things in me for a while, and become this happy performer shaking my head and telling everybody everything’s just fine. Paul is special, and even though I never thought I’d even like him (I kind of hated him in the beginning) now he’s my one favorite along with Lennon, I can’t choose between them two, they are both amazing in different ways and I love them equally and they both changed something in me and that says a lot. New Layout + List of Movies

So, CHESTERDEAN.NET finally has a new layout up. A lot darker than the other one, I was already tired of the light colors hehe. This time featuring my John Lennon, you see? Lennon and McCartney HAVE to go one after the other, or the two of them together, I just can’t tear them apart hehe. I also added a list of links in a section called “Topics” which are the most used topics on my blog, in that way you can surf the site more easily or look for something you’re interested.

I should do the same with CL as soon as I get my account back.
